ASFAs 2025 Announces Launch of Official Fashion Week Under the Banner of “The Fashivists”
In a groundbreaking expansion of its Pan-African fashion agenda, the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) has officially announced the launch of its first-ever Fashion Week, scheduled for November 2025. The announcement was made during the glittering ASFAs 2025 launch event held at the Kampala Style Brunch at Nonivie, where fashion insiders, designers, and media gathered to kick off the season of style.
This dedicated Fashion Week will be one of the key prelude events to the highly anticipated ASFAs Grand Awards Night, offering a week-long celebration of creativity, commerce, and consciousness in fashion.
A Stage for Purpose-Driven Fashion: “The Fashivists”
This year’s Fashion Week is curated under the theme “The Fashivists” — a term coined to recognize and celebrate individuals and brands that are not just shaping trends but shaping thought. A “Fashivist” is a fashion revolutionary: a designer, model, stylist, or fashion lover who uses their style as a statement of identity, resistance, and advocacy. It is a deliberate rebellion against hollow aesthetics — reclaiming fashion as a platform for purpose, culture, and change.
“The Fashivist is not simply dressed to impress. They are dressed to express — to represent causes, communities, and consciousness,” said Brian Ahumuza, founder of the ASFAs. “Fashion Week will be a visual and intellectual manifestation of this theme, and we want Africa — and the world — to witness the next generation of style warriors.”

Why This Matters
With Fashion Week 2025, the ASFAs are not just putting on a show — they are building an ecosystem for sustainable, ethical, and inclusive African fashion. The goal is to transform fashion into a language of leadership and a vehicle for social and economic transformation.
"This Fashion Week is where luxury meets legacy. Where runways reflect realities. And where creatives become catalysts," added a member of the ASFAs Creative Direction team.
Fashion lovers, stylists, influencers, buyers, and culture custodians across Africa are invited to participate, collaborate, and be part of this historic shift.
